When people are shopping for products online, they want to make sure that they’re getting the best deal when it comes to a product’s features and price.

The way they do that is by comparison shopping. So if you want to help people in getting the best product for their needs, you can help people by performing that comparison shopping right from your website with a WordPress price comparison plugin.

These plugins help you create a responsive table that compares the price and key features of different products. You can choose what data to include, and even offer helpful sorting and filtering options.

In this post, I’ve collected seven of the best WordPress comparison plugins for you to help buyers make their purchase decisions easily…

  1. AmaLinks Pro

AmaLinks Pro is a premium WordPress comparison plugin that, as the name suggests, is focused on helping you create product comparison tables for products sold on Amazon.

So if you’re a member of the Amazon Associates affiliate program, this might be the best WordPress comparison plugin for you. On the other hand, if you don’t sell products from Amazon, you’ll want to choose a different option.

AmaLinks Pro lets you search for products on Amazon and get your associate link without needing to leave your WordPress dashboard. Then, using data pulled straight from the Amazon API, you can turn the information for those products into a responsive product comparison table like.

Because the information is pulled from Amazon’s API, you can be sure that pricing and product information stays up to date. Beyond making your comparison table more helpful to customers, this also helps you abide by the Amazon Associates program’s rules.

For each table, you can:

  • Choose what information to display and which columns to include
  • Customize the looks and style of your comparison table
  • Add sorting and filter options to help shoppers find products
  1. WP ComPEAR

WP ComPEAR is a premium plugin that helps you in creating interactive product comparison tables on WordPress, complete with plenty of searches, filter, and sorting options to help shoppers find the best products.

Using the drag-and-drop builder, you can create unlimited product comparisons, each with their own unique set of comparison criteria, which makes it a great product specification plugin.

One unique feature is that you can add a drag-and-drop comparison to the frontend of your site, where visitors can click and drag to choose which products they want to compare.

In addition to product comparison tables, WP ComPEAR also lets you create comparison sliders, which is another different aspect of this plugin.

  1. TablePress

TablePress is one of the most popular WordPress table plugins. In addition to a lengthy feature list, it’s also 100% free. Combined, those two things explain their popularity.

While you can use it for any type of table, its adaptability also makes it a great option for product comparison tables.

Using an Excel-like interface, you can create your table layout with as many rows and columns as needed. Your tables can contain any type of data – including pictures, HTML (for buttons), etc. You can also add Excel-like formulas, which makes TablePress great for pricing table formulas.

Finally, you also can add your sorting, pagination, and filtering options.

The only downside with TablePress is the options for styling – if you want to make your product comparison table look great, you might need to know a little custom CSS.

It’s useful and presents information, but other plugins look a bit more like product comparison tables right out of the box.

  1. Default WordPress Block Editor (Gutenberg)

Thanks to the new WordPress block editor (AKA Gutenberg); you might not even need a dedicated WordPress product comparison plugin.

The new editor includes a Table block by default that you can use to compare products.

All you do is insert a Table block. Then, you can use the sidebar to control columns and such. And to enter the product information, you just click and type in the table.

Unfortunately, the default Table block doesn’t give you many styling options.

But if you want to change that, you can find some third-party Gutenberg block plugins. For example, the Advanced Gutenberg plugin adds an Advanced Table block that gives you a lot more control over the looks of your table:

  1. Go Pricing

Go Pricing is one of the most popular pricing table plugins for sale at CodeCanyon. Using a simple admin interface, you can build your pricing or comparison tables that include various types of media, including:

  1. Images
  2. Videos
  3. Buttons
  4. Icons
  5. Etc.

You also get tons of styling and animation options. Or, if you don’t want to build your table from scratch, you can choose from and import one of the 250+ premade demo tables.

In general, where Go Pricing excels is the styling options. You get full control over every element in your table, down to the animations. So if that’s important to you, this might be the plugin for you.

  1. WP Pricing Table Builder

WP Pricing Table Builder is another quality option for sale at CodeCanyon, though it isn’t quite as popular as Go Pricing.

To help you build your comparison tables, WP Pricing Table Builder gives you a drag-and-drop builder interface where you can choose precisely what information to include, as well as it’s styling. There are also some neat options, like the ability to add popup tooltips that reveal information in your table.

If you don’t want to create your design from scratch, WP Pricing Table Builder offers 89+ different designs that you can choose from, as well as a color scheme generator that helps you make a cohesive color scheme that matches your site.

  1. Elementor / Elementor Addon Elements

Elementor is a popular WordPress page builder plugin that lets you design stylish content using visual drag-and-drop editing and a big set of “widgets”.

A “widget” can be anything – text, a button, an image, etc.

With the free Elementor Addon Elements extension plugin, you also get a dedicated Comparison Table widget that lets you create a stylish WordPress comparison table. You also get a separate pricing table widget, as well as a variety of other new widgets.

If you want, you can even save a product comparison table as its own “template” and then use the official Elementor Blocks for Gutenberg plugin to insert just the comparison table in posts that you make with the default block editor (AKA Gutenberg). That is, you don’t have to use Elementor to design your entire post.

Which one is the Best For You?

The right comparison plugin for your needs depends on what type of products and information you need to display.

If you rely heavily on the Amazon Associates program, then AmaLinks Pro is probably the best option. On the other hand, if you want to be able to give users the choice of which products to compare, you’ll probably be better off with WP ComPEAR.

If you want a free product comparison plugin, you have a few good options.

TablePress is the most flexible option, but it might need some custom CSS to make it match your site. For simple tables, you can just use the native block editor, and Elementor also makes a great option with the free Elementor Addon Elements plugin.

Finally, while they’re not free, Go Pricing and WP Pricing Table Builder are also good affordable options that give you a lot of control over the design of your comparison tables.
